FECO B/ Felipe Colmenares

Felipe Colmenares Betancourt (FeCo B) is a Colombian painter and educator based in Panama. A graduate in Fine Arts and Art Education from Concordia University, Canada, his work explores Latin American identity through symbolism, magical realism, and a critical lens on social and environmental change.

Having lived in five countries across the Americas, he draws on themes of migration, memory, and sustainability, using materials such as acrylic, oil, ink, spray paint, wood, and found objects. His recent projects focus on Panama’s Casco Antiguo, reflecting on heritage, community, and urban transformation.

Through a blend of technique, concept, and social commitment, FeCo B creates art that sparks reflection and collective awareness.
